Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks": What I Am Listening To Write This Minute -by Alyson Camus

I keep hearing this song on the radio, and I got suddenly intrigued!
‘Pumped up Kicks’ by Foster the People, with its fake MGMT feeling, is terribly catchy, with its melody working as an ambient jumping-dancing party, as light as a happy beach ball on a sunny day. The song alternates between distant megaphoned vocals and an instant hook chorus, which turns later on into a whistling invitation.

The LA band is unsigned and has yet to release an EP (which will be done on the 25th), but got noticed from blog to blog: Mark Foster (keyboards, guitar, lead vocals), Zach “Reazon” Heiligman (MPC), Mark Pontius (drums), and Cubbie Fink (bass, backing vocals) have right now a series of shows scheduled around LA, at the Echo and at the Detroit Bar.

And they are playing Coachella by the way! We are in the middle of January, but they seem to be like a leftover of last summer or a preview of the next one
