My Fave Songs, Sunday, November 9th, 2011 -by Iman Lababedi

1. You Don’t Know How It Feels – Tom Petty – I have written two short stories and one novel about chronic illness. What interests me is not being in a coma, but being so ill that you are stranded in time. I’ve had to function with a bad cold for a coupla days, and I feel like both being alone and being with people. I wanna drop out but I can’t bring myself to do it. This is one of my sickness songs, not “You don’t know how it feels to be me”, but “I’m too alone to be proud”.

2. Love Plus One – Haircut 100 – Then? Pop confection. today? Synth based masterpiece.

3. Rainbows In Gasoline – The Ghost Of Saber Tooth Tiger – I hate em if only for the name. They are such fucking posers they add their names to the name of the band and then call the album “Acoustic Sessions”.

4. What Took So Long – The Moondoggies – This is pretty awesome classic rock, the sound predates grunge and is still from Seattle. They are at the Rock Shop, January 30th.

5. Broken Bones – The Holidays – Pretty hip Aussie band.

6. Love All Round – Tina Dico – So 70s r&b it makes me feel nostalgic.

7. Well OK Honey – Jenny O – That bass lick is surreal -where did she steal it? Or Didn’t she????

8.Deerripper – Amazing Baby
9. Butch – Saint Motel
10. Run Me Over – The Babies
