Flashback To January 2009: II was Listening to Beirut and Jank Williams… Why I Can't Remember -by Iman Lababedi

1. Postcards From Italy – Beirut – At the time I thought whatever, two years later the horn breaks are breathtaking
2. Home Again – The Disco Biscuits - Another band I kinda whatevered at the time and yet they sound so awesome here, like what I want from dance in the end I guess these guys have been doing: a rock band as dance pehnom.
3. I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry – Hank Williams – Never whatevered this bloke in my life. I had just bought the “Unreleased recordings” so I guess that’s why I was listening.
4. Ease Up Cesar – Asian Dub Foundation – The chick who wised me up to Conor’s wedding, turned me on to this awesome electronica.
5. Alfie – Lilly Allen – I was getting ready to see her at T5 and I pushed all the way to front and SHE KILLED
6. It Takes One to Know Me – Carlene Carter – She was real good at joe’s pub.
7. Big Fat Zero – Graham Parker – But Parker was GREAT an hour earlier.
8. Sing the Changes – The Firemen – You feel like it should be worse, but it is actually excellent. Macca’s last hurrah?
9. When the Stars Go Blue – Tyler Hilton And Bethany Joy Lenz – Fine pop cover of Ryan Adam’s sure shot.
10. My Stunning Mystery Companion – Jackson Browne – this is one of browne’s greatest achievements… if you don’t know it, you really should.
