I was FBing Modern Hut’s Joe Steinhardt (he part owns Don Giovanni records and wrote the songs for the greatest rock band you don’t know, For Science) and he was at the Prince show where Larry Graham played a set which should be instantaneously legendary.
To put it simply: he was better than Prince (in my books). Joe didn’t quite agree, he just said “amazing, one of the best performers I’ve ever seen”.

PS: As long as I am writing about my hero Joe, he was terrific doing an acoustic set last August and the demos I’ve heard have been mindboggling. Here’s a new year’s wish: a Modern Hut album.
