Joe Walsh Refused To Be An Ordinary Average Guy- But Why This? By Helen Bach

It has been 18 years since Joe Walsh had a release. “I’ve been working on it for a long time during the Eagles downtime,” the guitarist told Undercover.fm, in a recent interview. “It’s rock and roll and it’s new songs. Hopefully it will get out April or May.”
Why?
The cd will be co produced by Jeff Lynne.  Its like senior night at the recording studio.
I have a problem with come backs.  Its never the same, its almost like a lounge act.  18 years?
I’m sure alot of his die hard fans are psyched but I cant see this being anything more than a rather sad attempt at a comeback for a performer past the age of reckoning.
Luckily Mr Walsh was asked why there was such a tremendous gap in recordings and the response sums up my theory
“I finally got sober in 1994, and I had to learn actually to write and play and do everything sober,” he says. “I just didn’t write for quite a while. Also, the Eagles have really been busy.
This is no better than the proverbial white jumpsuit and cape days.
Let it go Joey.. Life’s been good to you so far, lets leave it with a good face.
