There are times though when a song will hit me and Ill listen harder to the lyrics. Sometime it takes a remake to have that happen.

Sung with feeling and that infamous cracking high tone, Rivers has me listen to lyrics I have heard a million times in a new way.
Suppose that’s the point of a remake isn’t it? Widen the market?
Anyway its not stellar its somewhat disturbingly amateur video but its cute enough to mention and post for you here.
Iman adds: the song was almost banned for the god reference when first released. Men of good faith can debate it but I think a hat in hand as greatest song of all time, up there with “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”.
