Comment: This isn’t the worst year ever for country. Two of these songs, Lady Antebellum and Sugarland, are pretty good. But the entire thing lacks importance, it lacks gravitas -even musical. It is white bland bullshit.The 80s were worse for modern country but better for the mainstream because the first garde were still productive. The 90s were filled with alt country like uncle Tupelo and Whiskeytown. But nowadays…. but now. A love letter to Taylor Launtner? Pretty meh stuff.
