Louba Lababedi comments on her beloved Judy (and Liza).
I was introduced to Judy Garland(besides Wizard of Oz) in 1999 through her
daughter Liza! with a Z
My Uncle treated me to dinner and “Minnelli on Minnelli” Liza’s tribute to her father, Vincent Minnelli’s music/movies .
Liza was amazing, it was a fun upbeat performance with a bit of emotion, her talking about being
on set with her dad and mom…When she was singing ” The Trolley song”, a black and white screen came down and there was Judy swinging on a trolling and sang one line “to the end of the liiiiine”. I was hooked. As talented asLiza is, that one line blew her away and caught my attention like no other artist has, ever.

In February, The Weinstein Company bought the film rights to her Biography “Get Happy” By Gerald Clarke.
I read it, it’s more tabloid than truth.
I remember one line “he would make her (judy) give him head while singing over the rainbow”
Sadly, if Liza can’t fight the production of the film ‘Get Happy” Hollywood will continue to strip
away parts of Judy, even when there’s nothing left but her legacy.
