D.R.U.G.S.(Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) has released a new song titled “Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm”. What an earworm it is.
At first, I was caught up in the beat and sound of it because it’s so well written. But then I looked further. I listened to the words. Owens sings of his self-abusive past talking about cutting but not being able to see himself bleed. This is deep and connects with the band name. Recovery is something that Owens has been dealing with for a very long time. This deep meaning gives insight and shows that ev:en those who are famous and seemingly confident might be fighting their own demons. The tune itself is catchy and fun to listen to.
