The great jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, back from medical leave, played a three night stand at the Blue Note over the Thanksgiving weekend, ending each set with a rousing “Take Five”… I hear.
I didn’t go because
a) it was sold out
b) i couldn’t afford it.
Though I have seen him several times and always found him excellent. As Donald Fagen once put it: “I hear you’re mad about Brubeck, I like your eyes, I like him too.He’s an artist, a pioneer
