Thanksgiving, it is a secular holiday, right? But there is the word thanks in it, and people have the custom to thank god for everything they have. I don’t as I’m not a believer, I don’t think any supernatural being is responsible for the good (or the bad) things in my life. So whom should I thank? Luck? Randomness? That would be ridiculous! I prefer to thank directly the people who are involved in my life.
I thank the members of my family, whom have always loved me and supported me in every decision I have taken, and I thank my friends for just being this, good friends.
I thank whoever (and this include many musicians) have influenced me at becoming a vegetarian more than 25 years ago, one of the best thing I could have done for this world, poor turkeys, you have nothing to fear from me today…
I thank musicians, singers and songwriters for still putting good music out there for my own pleasure.
I thank all the people who have given me so many free tickets for shows lately, I have seen so many!
I thank? … err, my capacity to manage my time? My capacity to survive with little sleep? … for having been able to go to so many shows, I have never thought it would have been possible.
And finally (but the order has nothing to do with the importance of it) I really thank everyone at rock nyc, and especially Iman and Helen for accepting me in their family of writers! I can’t believe it has been 8 months already…
