Most of us look back fondly on our first jobs. I certainly do, and although I shouldn’t mention what it was I will say it was an adorable shop in NYC.
Jay-Z loves his first job too.

“It may sound strange, but it was usually a fun way to spend time. I got to hang out on the block with my crew, talking, cracking jokes. You know how people in office jobs talk at the water cooler? This job was almost all water cooler.
“But when you weren’t having fun, it was hell. I got out just in time. Some of my best friends weren’t so lucky.”
I’m not sure why I find the quote “I got out of there just in time” so funny. As if ‘phew! glad something better came along.
