For those of you who have never seen Art Garfunkel in person, except with Paul Simon, like me, the news of his voice ailment back in 2010 hit very hard. I am a huge fan of his second solo album, Breakaway, which is every beat the equal of Paul Simon’s Still Crazy After All these Years (they share a song, the lousy “My Little Town”) and despite having heard him sing “For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her” would have been very happy to have done some of his solo stuff, like “Rag Dog” or “Disney Girls. Covers, yes. But what covers.

But apparently Art’s voice was severely damaged and that was that except it isn’t that and now, four years later, Garfunkel is completely recovered and ready to sing everywhere… except nyc, ground zero to him.

I am going to assume that this won’t hold and that he must do a couple of local dates I mean the Beacon is beckoning, and then he can grab a cab and go home, right?

Either way here are the dates and if you are there go there, really I mean it.
