Life’s Way Way Too Short…

It is 815p and I’ve been writing since 645a, finishing off Saturday’s and starting and completing Sunday’s posts while I was at it. Two live reviews, a short story, a track by track album review, a little gossip, a think piece about glam … don’t know what else. So I am gonna watch some TV and use my fall back hour to sleep more.
But before that I put on Crenshaw’s 1991 masterpiece Life’s Too Short. Not his only masterpiece, not even his best album, not even my fave. But man i love it. I remember watching him play “Better Back Off” on Late Night With David Letterman and just flippin’ out it. The first time I watched Letterman? I stayed up late to watch Marshall’s network debut.
There are only three kinds of people on earth, those who love Crenshaw, those who are indifferent, and those who have never heard of him. Well, like Townsend once asked, “how can those who have never seen the light be enlightened?”.
Now you have ZERO EXCUSE. Er, except one, Life’s Too Short appears to be out of print, but go online, look around.
Right now I am listening to one of the great break up songs, “see the girls watch the boys watch the boys watch the girls… in the afternoon”.
The best song? No. “Fantastic Planet Of Love” is the best song and it will knock you on your keister. “Believe me darling this is true it is only when I’m next to you…”
