One of my fave Hollywood stars of all time, Steve McQueen, is to be honored on the 30th Anniversary of his death. This icon of 60s cool will get his own Square on Hollywood Boulevard as well.

The guy was just fantastic -so crisp and cool and disenchanted in Bullitt, a personification of America in Escape… McQueen was such a great star he simply pushed against the 60s and when you see him now? None of it feels dated the way so many late 60s movies do.
Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Vaughn and Lalo Schriffin (who composed the M7 theme) will be there. As well as his son Chad and the rest of the family.
