We warned em last year and nearly died from the storm, lighning, manure stenched muddy swamps of Randall’s Island? So what happens next? They do it again of course. Why on Earth the Governor’s ball are holding it (if you will) from June 6th thru June 8th instead of, say JULY 6TH – JULY 8TH… or something, I have no idea. This is not Florida, you can get nailed again.
I’m planning to VIP for another season, at least because I am planning to see less shows in 2014 than 2013, this is a quick way to catch up on stuff I’d usally check out at small local gigs but now don’t seem to have the time.
Gov’s Ball line up was something else last year, from GNR and KoL to, yes folks, the first appearance of Kanye and his Yeezus. Along with the best of many genres (ecept country) including folk, indie and EDM . Alt-J, the xx and Icona Pop, garcy Clarke Jn, Fucked Up and Best Coast… outrageously excellent line up.
So, yeah, sight unseen I’d go again.
