I was most excited for the Fearless Friends Tour cuz of these guys right here. Every Avenue.
This band has impressed me from the start. A maturity uncommon and lyricist that actually makes sense and a delivery that can sound mainstream as pop can get but with an added dash of non conformity. Just enough so you know you’re not listening to clone rock.
We had a great time speaking with David Ryan Strauchman
and found him to be gracious intelligent and insightful- mature. The interview will follow but lets get on with this performance, shall we?

First off screw the Webster for the fucked up sound. There I said it. The vocals were…..gone. One of the best lyrics of the night…..gone. I cant and I wont blame the band but I will say the dude at the sound board must have been busy on his iphone cuz despite about 20 glares the guy didn’t up the box at all.
David was forced to scream as best he could- which made me wonder if his monitor was down too.
But again rather than turn this event they rallied on. The band flawless, the only struggle was in hearing the words I came to hear. So, here we go, I get those half baked Ugg wearing screechy girls singing it for me.
DAMNIT- will they ever go away?
Every Avenue deserves way more than they’re getting. I think this tour will do it. As we tire of the same bands over and over headlining ad nauseum, its time to look at someone who has some longevity, some stamina and some intelligence.
This is it.
If this band doesn’t ‘crack’ the mainstream its nothing more than poor administration. The professionalism, creativity and true showmanship is top notch.
For me to love a show even though I had to contend with those screaming teenys and a bad sound mix is a pure tribute to the band who stole the night.
Every Avenue, made the Fearless Friends Tour worth every obstacle.
Thank you for a great show and restoring my faith in perseverance.
