1. Jersey City – Hilly Eyes – This took a little while to kick in but it is a haunted house rumbler which is always on the verge of blowing up in your face with a Joy Divisiony drums and a finger picked bass and a voice while seems to be being stood on.
2. I Just Wanna Party – Yelawolf And Gucci Mane – Gucci hasn’t sounded so smooth and smartass since B3 and I dunno who Yelawolf is but he has a great voice. Rhyme of the week: “She just want a Harley, I’m rollin up the Marley, I’m drunk as Paul Mcartney’. That’s rhyming for the fun of it.
3.Truth – Chiddy Bang – The sample, a giddyap keyboards from the mid-70s makes it.
4. What I Could Be – Care Bears On Fire – The guitar riff opening the track is classic. So classic they use it as the chorus.
5. Runaway (feat Pusha D.) – Kanye West – I swear that piano motif is off MCR’s “The Black Parade”.
6. Speak Now – Taylor Swift
7. Teenage Ghost House – Unicycle Loves You
8. Jonathan – Olof Arnalds – Still pissed she didn’t play it at Joe’s Pub last week.
9. Norma: Casta Diva – Dame Joan Sutherland
10. Standfast – Sunglasses
