On Sunday I was writing about the stupendous opera singer Dame Joan Sutherland. I am lousy at writing about opera so I’ll let tWikipedia to the heavy lifting: “She possessed a voice of beauty and power, combining extraordinary agility, accurate intonation, pin point staccatos,[2] a splendid trill and a tremendous upper register”
What I will about is, while your ears take some getting used to opera, there is no doubting her voice was a pure pleasure.
