Last year, Cheap Time were famous for their 70s punk inspired rock music and opening Yo La Tengo but not anymore.
Despite the excellence of Cheap Time’s fresh whine punky sound, they are known forever for being thrown out of the studio where they were mixing their new album Fantastic Explanations (and Similar Situations).
And not just thrown out but thrown out at gunpoint by their engineer and having to negotiate a month to get their songs back
Worth all the hastle from what I’ve heard with former Sparks and famous producer of the Runaways Queens Of Noise Earle Mankey brought in to finish the job.
“I’d Rather Be Alone” isn’t just as good a title as the Rezillos ever came up with me, it happens to be as a song as well.
But, put the gun down guys.
