Monday Morning Rock Playlist : If You Wanna Have Fun Come Along With Me -by Iman Lababedi

1. Hey, Good Looking – George Jones – The greatest singer in country music sings the greatest songwriter in country music. But though Jones nails the melody dead, he misses out on the fun for some reason.
2. Trick Pony – Charlotte Gainsbour – The drums are some heavy shit and Charlotte songs great but the song is slight.
3. All The World Is Mad – Thrice – Look at the title of the song. Now ask me what I think of the song again.
4. Nitty Gritty – Primal Scream- Nothing much blues rocker from a great band.
5. Heart of Stone – The Rolling Stones – Out of their heads
6. Ground  Zero – Lil Wayne – OK, so i overestimated the album. I still it is better than his business as usual newbie
7. You Can’t Fail Me Now – Loudon Wainwright – Best song off the soundtrack album.
8. I Go Wild – The Rolling Stone – When you are pushing 70 don’t test the worlds patience.
9. My Life – Billy Joel – This is off the MSG stand. I wonder how many times Joel has released this?
10. Linger In Your Arms A Little Longer – Louis Armstrong – With a big band in the late forties. Ask me if the band overwhelms. I mean even slightly.
11. Hey, Soul Sister – Train – I don’t get these guys at all.but it is hard to begrduge em.
12. The Last Hour – Elliott Smith – I don’t mind his depressiveness, I don’t really mind the sensitivity. What irritates me is how many times his melodies are as fragile as his soul.
13. Ackowledgement – John Coltrane – It shimmers in its iterated harmolodics before Ornette had invented it.
14. While My Guitar Gently Weeps – The Beatles – Off “Love”, off a demo?
15. Love Drunks – Boys And Girls – Pretty perfect tween rock.
16. Billionaire – Travis MCoy – And you will, Travis. you will.
17. Caroline, No – The Beach Boys – It sounds like Autumn.
18.The Bends – Dusthead – Shakesn up punkcore
19. Bagpipes from Baghdad – Eminem – “It’s music to my ears…” Great Scottish accent, and another nasty little fucker rolls it.
20. The End Of The Asterick – Los Campesinos – Wordy fuckers. but in a good way. How could? Check the title again.
21. Better Tomorrow – Wu Tang Clan – Jailed up.
22. If We Ever – David Guetta – The magic touch on yet another great track off the album is whipped and whipped.
23. Hearts Bound To Die – For Science – The song they got the Tomorrow’s Just Another Die title from
24.Marque De Romero – Omega – Sounds like Merengue to my ears.
25. Twistin’ The Night Away – Sam Cooke – The orchestra is a little ligh but Sam is cool when excited, cool when cool. Like the President: he doesn’t lose it, racial anger is buried in a percolated reaction to the world around him. People say Obama should let loose but he must retain his integrity for the same reason Cooke had to: it is all that keeps him abovea bizarre hatred of his skin pigmentation by many many people.
