Why Biggie Smalls Was The Greatest Rapper Of All Time -by Iman Lababedi

Somewhere else today Woody Fuller mentions Biggie Smalls.
Biggie is one of the greats, up there with your Buddy Holly’s, Jimi Hendrix -all those guys who changed the face of popular music and then died before reaching 30.
Here are some reasons Biggie was the greatest rapper of all times.
a. Best rhymes, easily, “Birthdays were the worst days, now we drink champagne when we’re thirsty”.
b. Three albums, four if you include Hardcore, and each one a flat out masterpiece. Life After Death changed the game. And don’t gimme Diddy. If Diddy meant shit, why did he do nothing after Biggie was murdered?
c. Best storyteller. He didn’t just rap about being a gangsta, he told stories about the life.
d. Best voice: that bassy rumble was just like him: big and nimble at the same time.
e. Best rapper: you have the rhymes? you have the flow? you have the voice? you have the best songs? You’re the best.
