So Chiodos released a new song called “Caves” and I am not a fan of it. What it is is that I don’t like the singer’s voice. For some reason it throws me off a bit. It’s not because of listening to Craig’s for so long, but I just am not a fan in general. An element is missing. The wholeness isn’t there. It sounds like just flat singing- without truly meaning the words. As for the screaming, it feels a bit weak and doesn’t give off that hardcore-ness that most screams in any hardcore band do, which is disappointment. The music is catchy and for some reason reminds me a bit of old From First To Last. There’s nothing truly notable, the song’s just generic. Definitely disappointing.
Give it a listen or don’t. I suggest not to.
