Conan O’Brian is a cool dude even before he got the shaft on his T V show. A great fan of rock and roll and a huge Clash /Strummer fan makes him more than okidokey in my book.
Collaborating with the sassy White Stripes is a fantastic side dish the the cool he is.
Back in 2006 the three got together ot create a topsy turvy video for “Denial Twist”, below is the end result.
Michel Gondry, was the creative force most known for his confusing perspectives and shifty reality. Videos are now available on Youtube showing the technical doings that went into this trippy vid.
Sad part is that
1- The White Stripes are not so .. hmmm around much anymore
2-Conan became somewhat overplayed and did that sorta pathetic musical tour thing…what?
3- The vids director Gondry got all distraught and severed ties when the band was featured on The Simpsons, in a segment that copied the concept for The Hardest Button To Button video, without giving him any credit.
The moral of the story?
The hipper the hipster- the more whacked out they are.
