With Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday starting the band Terrible Things, I was disgusted upon listening to them. It sounds like Chiodos and Taking Back Sunday put together. Two of my favourite bands, but seriously? If Fred wanted to make this kind of music he could’ve stayed with TBS, and he would be playing stadiums, opening for huge bands rather than playing really small clubs where barely anyone knows who they are.
“Revolution” isn’t anything original at all. It sounds just like Taking Back Sunday, only not as good. It actually put me into kind of a bad mood because it was so much of a disappointment.
“Up At Night” is terrible. Sure it’s a bit catchy, but honestly it’s not good at all. There’s not a single redeeming quality that makes me moderately enjoy this big ball of suck.
I could barely click on “Lullaby” because I didn’t want to be disappointed again, and it was a bad choice. It’s boring, slow, and there’s nothing to keep me from switching to another song. I couldn’t even sit through a minute and a half of it.
A waste of time. Fred should get back into Taking Back Sunday and be successful once more. Then again, they seem to be better off without him.
