Here is my take on politicians: don’t put your hands too close to their mouths or they’ll bite em off. And only in the States can massive bank bail outs be considered socialism.
My friend Robert Nevin was very excited when Barack Obama was elected President. I thought, well, it is probably good for race relations and how bad can he be?
The reply was: Obama is doing a fine job in a terrible situation. Time will tell but the man is doing what he can.
So I hate politicians but as far as it goes, I am not displeased with the Prez though my expectations were not all that high.
HOWEVER musically? I thought he might be a touch cooler. And he was over the weekend when on the road over the long weekend he free associated a claim that the GOP: “They talk about me like a dog”. A Jimi Hendrix quote. It continues… “about the clothes I wear, but they don’t realize they’re the squares”.
Hip for its obscurity? Sure. Though there is a version of it on the latest Hendrix release Valley Of Neptune .
