Another Crappy Issue Of Rolling Stone

If I ever thought of going back to freelance rock journalism, I certainly put the lie to that by taking advantage of every opportunity of biting the hand that once fed me.
The state of the rock mag is just plain awful. Humorless, self important and deeply conflicted bullshit.
Let’s bang em out:
Pitchfork: always setting up festivals where they are deeply embedded with the musicians and the management who perform for them. Also? Their writing sucks bad. Tedious, psuedo scholarly wonkiness.
Spin – Is even worse. It’s like the editor of your local giveaway hi-jacked a rock mag and didn’t know what to dio with it. Zero personality.
Alternative Press: 1) Conflicts of interest up the ying yang, 2) And the writing is kinda lame. Helen loves em but me? I can’t read it.
Rolling Stone: Ugh. The only reason to read RS is their profiles, and Matt Taibi. Watching these hack publicly fellate U2, Bruce, the Stones, and many, many others is just plain nauseating. They degenerate into “US” isn a heart beat and and and: their current Special TV Issue should be filed along with the Best Beatles tracks issue in the dustbin of history.
PS? Is it worth reminding you they completely missed the boat on punk in the 70s?
