Loretta Lynn’s 50th career anniversary will be commemorated with the November 9th release of Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn.
This lp features a who’s who of ‘country pop’ Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Paramore, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Steve Earle, The White Stripes, Lucinda Williams, Gretchen Wilson, Allison Moorer, and Lee Ann Womack
A right nightmare if you ask me. Lynn although an interesting character wasn’t isn’t my real cup of tea.
That’s OK though cuz her fan base is enormous and her career impressive.
Its too bad there weren’t cooler bands doing the trib.. oh wait… The White Stripes?
“I am so happy that these singers wanted to do this record,” said Lynn in an issued statement. “I love ‘em all, and it was so great to hear all the different ways they did my hits… I hope people like it as much as I do and we sell a bunch of records!!”
How adorable a statement is that?
Although it is not known which hit Jack and Meg will do, they have performed Rated X live a few times and very well indeed.
Suppose we just sit back and wait for leaks
