Insulting New York Post’s Dan Aquilante is a complete waste of time and the most fun imaginable.
In today’s NYP, the brain dead mofo gives the new Katy Perry a 4 star review, the Usher EP? 2 stars.
Let’s start with Katy. Look, I’d like to nail Perry as much as the next guy but except for the title track Teenage Dream is a disaster area. Maybe I get “California Gurl” wrong, but I don’t get “Pearl” wrong, I don’t get “E.T.” wrong. Beyond samey or not samey, even beyond cookie cutter pop by committee, the songs are TERRIBLE. Let’s put it this way: it is as bad as Rihanna with one difference, Perry’s is trying to be fun, Rihanna wants to stick Chris Brown down our collective guts and make us bite his dick off.
Perry is so stupid, it is almost remarkable. i don’t care if she is rich and beautiful and marrying a sexaholic: she’s still a stunningly beautiful moron. And Aquilante is the fucking pits here: “But “Teenage Dream” is a total success. It’s even better than Perry’s previous work and may have the juice to topple Michael Jackson’s “Bad” as the US record holder for most singles (nine) released from one album.” What the fuck does that mean.?She has released five songs and two have hit. If you releases 16 songs and 14 bomb who cares?
I don’t know what Aquilante’s problem with Usher is either. This is an extension of Raymond Vs Raymond and it is pretty good EP: nine songs, two available elsewhere? so don’t fucking buy it you half wit. I’ve only bought the Jay-Z so far and it is pretty good so sucks to NYP and their 2 stars.
