Jump Back Jake Ace Rock And Soul Band from Memphis

Dropping September 14th is the new EP from Jump Back Jake, an old time Memphis rock and soul band who will blow your sox right off I swear it.
They record for Ardent records, Alex Chilton’s old stamping ground and there is a touch of that white boy Box Toppy soul boy about it all. Jake Rabinbach, the former Brooklynite who left the borough before it got iself slicked up and gentrified by iffy wanna be’s with ego’s the size of the whole get go, and though, Jake also plays for Francis And The Light, currently opening for MGMT and Drake (yup, Drake: go figure)
The EP, Call Me Your Man, is red hot shit, especially “If I Ever Get back” which seems in the market to breaks hit up and double time, and the title track which is a soulful sweetie with a great guitar all over it.
Mr. Rabinbach is a soulful sob who fb’s stuff like “The Bass at this Drake show is pumping so hard that the hinges on the dressing room doors are squeaking. Far Out“. Which, cmon man, is the coolest thing I’ll never say in my life.
