The Ting Tings were high up on the shuffle log for a long time. “That Not My Name” became a party chant, their Saturday Night Live appearance was nothing less than adorable.
Then nothing. Dead… What?
Two years is a long time in pop music.
But I am very happy to say it was actually worth the wait. Finally a new single “Hands” is available on their myspace.
This 80s sort of techno dance pop is really rather mindlessly addictive. The lyrics couldn’t be more pathetic “clap your hands if your working too hard’, is just dumb.
But for some reason I can absolutely dance about the room to this. I just wouldn’t sing along.
So this is sorta like Pez. Its really great packaging, its yummy enough but its really not going to fill you. Have a listen;
