Helen Bach Rides A Dark Hour B-Side: “I Don’t Care Anymore” By George Harrison

Be it far from me to be closed minded about music.

OK, I am but I am also very emotionally attached to music. As some may find a comforting blanket or the familiarity of a well worn sweater I retreat into music that not only engulfs me, but inspires me.

At times I find myself tip toeing in genres I dont belong in. Seriously, I’m no hippy and the 60s to me were nothing but a decade to be born in.

But then

Then theres times when I go on an all out obsessive love affair with an artist. Generally brief as I always return to my genre.

For a couple days now I have been knee deep in George Harrison.

I have always loved his voice, not sure again if its the pitch or what but its endearing.

So today I’m ripping up my resume and fessin up that “Dark Horse” is one of my favorite songs of all time.

But today I discovered its B side and well granted its 40 years later but its time to give it another listen

“I Don’t Care Anymore” is an annoying twang of a accented Country bowl of slop.

And it is freaking amazing.

I had never heard it until today and stumbled upon it by chance but this alone has absolutely fired my love for Harrison even more.

Wow amazing stuff and amazing lyrics.

Its a drunken sorta confused and amazingly pure emotion being sent. He sounds so distraught, and theres a juice harp.

That alone is worth finding it.
