Not In The Mood For Another White Band With The Adjective Black In Their Name I Skipped Black Lips… Whoops by Iman Lababedi

Yeah, like I said… I didn’t like the band name so I moved on with my life but, almost on a whim, I picked up the Black Lips blues punk “O Katrina” and was thoroughly impressed.
Then I read Black Lips were fighting with my boys Wavves though I think Black Lips who, according to Wikipedia, puke, piss and tongue kiss (proof of one of those above) might be even wilder than Wavves.
They formed in High school in 1999 and got kicked out in the wake of Columbine and have been together ever since.
The 2007 “Black Kids”, used on 500 Summr Days Of Summer soundtrack sounds like a Big Bopper tribute, and the songs I have from their last album, 200 Million Thousand have gone past three chord wonders with a blues jones (did I just describe all of Nuggets?).
A mixed blessing true, but mix it well…
