I would say they would be known most for the sassy “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”, Peter Murphy really nailing the niche on that vocal but Bauhaus put the Goth in present day Gothic thanks to Mr Ash and his guitar. After Bauhaus we got Love and Rockets and Tones on Tail who’s pop sound on “Go” made it a spin in clubland.
