Rat Scabies! (Chris Millar) drummer of The Damned. Remember the Damned!?, fantastic stuff.
They had such a bad ass rep but if you listen to them now they’re so melodic I’m not quite sure how they got tumbled up in ‘punk’ we can blame that whole London scene.
The Damned will always hold a spot in my heart cuz I never saw them live. Why? Cuz the guy who was going to take me bought a bad ass sports care that day and couldn’t fit 5 and 3 of his ‘boys’ were going.
I got ditched.
Come to think of it I hate the friggin Damned. and I hate sports cars. That was 1985 when their remake “Eloise” was a giant smash. Check out the drum action on that one its insane. Anyway, now I’m all ticked off. I totally wanted to see them. Its OK though I got fair revenge cuz I married the fool. That’ll show him..
Anyway, Rat Scabies was born today in 1957
