Zeppelin Play Amagansett -Kinda, by Woody Fuller

This past weekend, I spent two days in Amagansett with family taking in some sun and chillaxin on the beach, great family bonding time to say the least. I was quite excited when my uncle informed us that Led Zeppelin was playing in town somewhere tonight, and if anyone wanted to go.

Of course we all wanted to go! (Or at least I did). A bit confused of why Led Zeppelin was playing at such a quant town on long Island, but too excited at the time to dig into it much more.

”Lets get tickets now!” someone shouted out, (probably me).

After a two minute call, we discover that tickets were $60, and you had to leave your credit card info on message, along with all names of people attending, in order to RSPV and in turn get your tickets. We were a bit sketched out, so in stead decided to book it into town, to check out the venue in which we would soon be seeing THE Led Zeppelin LIVE.

After a 15-minute drive, we hustled up to Steve’s Talk House, their tour bus was right in front, (see picture below).

“Right on!” I thought to myself, “this was really going to happen, what a sweet article I will be able to write about this night, in such a small venue, I bet I’ll be able to meet band after show! How could this night possible get any better?”

My excitement ended ¾ the way through that internal monologue, when my entire family, all at about the same time, realized that the sign on Steve’s Talk House Reading “Lez Zeppelin” wasn’t a typo, but the all lesbian Zeppelin cover band was actually going to be playing here tonight.

After numerous jokes, some which brought tears to my eyes, we decided to skip out and get some grub. Haha jokes on us.

But I will never forget the infamous night, in which we almost dropped $500 to see Lez Zeppelin live at Steve’s Talk House in Amagansett.
