Hot on the heels of our actors that don’t rock post comes news that Hugh Laurie, of TV House fame, is recording a blues album.
Laurie’s evolution from brilliant comedy actor on UK TV shows such as Black Adder and Heeves and Wooster to US TV star, has been odd in the extreme. And really a bit of a shame.
On Jeeves and Wooster, Laurie would sing English dance hall faves from the 20s to great effect. And I would love an album of that.
Instead we are getting a just about useless album of New orleans blues covers.
Cold, so very cold…
