If Ann Kirsten Kennis’s idea was to get some privacy back, perhaps suing Vampire Weekend wasn’t quite the way to go about it. After all, nobody really knew who she was so perhaps she overreacted. Since she sued the band Kennis is all over the place (GMA and Letterman are just a court hearing away).
And here come the pictures!! Here are the two pictures i’ve found of her (it took a lot of research, I googled her name) and there will be a lot more. And let’s be honest, could anything be less risque for a model than the pic on the cover of Contra. The one above is a lot, well, help me here Woody, hotter.
Not sure if this one even is her… The first definitely is.
Anyway, unlike Vampire Weekend who are saying they are not allowed to discuss the case (why not? there is no gag order) , Kennis’ lawyer won’t shut up.
This is what Alan Neigher had to say according to contact: “It was taken by her family,” he said. “It was a Polaroid, not a modelling picture. Her mother was a chronic Polaroid snapshot taker, and used to sell whole archives of photographs to these shops, five bucks a hundred or whatever. Her mother may have given away to a charity bazaar a whole ream of photographs. We just really don’t know… She has no idea how that photograph got into the photographer’s hands. Her (Kennis) daughter came home one day and said, ‘Hi Mum, see your picture?'”
OK, so, not that there is NECESSARRILY anything wrong with it, people need to be careful, but let’s be clear that this case is about one thing and one thing only: GETTING REAL PAID.
Hope everyone is very pleased with themselves.
