1. Glitter And Gold  – Rebecca Ferguson – If you don’t include 1D, Rebecca is the best chance at an artistically valid TV song contest celebrity since Kelly Clarkson, and if that seems gerrymandering for the singer, give this ballad a listen – B+

2. Philadelphia Freedom – Elton John – His best moment Wednesday night and one of the great songs of freedom – A

3. Fingers Back – Vampire weekend – Here is the one place we can all agree this a genius band – A

4. Come On – Sevyn Streeter – Excellent hip hop triumph of rhythm over everything – B+

5.If You Were In Love – Boston – Kimberly Dahme isn’t Brad but Brad has been gone awhile now and she does a more than credible job on this lovely rock ballad – A-

6. Karl – Chanel West Coast  – “I Love Money” didn’t make it on the album so this ode to a certain fashion guy will have to do – B

7. Kush Coma – Danny Brown – Great rap and weirdly autistic chorus – A-

8. Saved By Words – Laura Marling – Thank you , Laura, she was my next verse – A

9. Glass Tambourine – Wild Flag – Psychedelic riot jam –  B+

10. Happy – Pharrell Williams – Joyous bop – B+
