The Kills’ “Pale Blue Eyes”: What I AM Listening To Right This Minute by Iman Lababedi

I’ll admit part of this is an age thaaang. If you aint 53 years old, the chances are excellent you haven’t heard Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes” about  70 million fucking times and can’t hear it AT ALL anymore.
A great song, ground breaking ballad back in the day, Beatley moldy old classic today.
So my wishing to kill off everything about the Kills’ tedious, self-evident, puerile, irrelevant, puerile (no I said that, and anyway, it isn’t really puerile) cover has everything to do with the song and a little less to do with the Kills.  It is all part of -please note adjectives above, Levi Strauss Revival Recordings which, with the exception of DP’s Dylan cover, has been unusually useless.
I love the Kills and they come close to… well, the guitar solo is pretty terrific  and Alison Mossgarts cool vocal is temperate and smart. But, c’mon there must be a better way to hold a revival meeting.
