Tom Morello is the last wave of the great rock Gods. I have extreme respect for him rooted in his relationship with Joe Strummer. (Yes, everyone is cooler associated with Joe) and again.. I love remakes.
Its easily known I am not a fan of MIA, nor will I ever be but
she ripped off “Straight To Hell” for “Paper Planes and I liked the sound effects but meh, thats it.
So hearing that Morello and The SSSC did a remake of it sent me tripping to give it a listen.
Its horrible. The chorus gets lost, it sounds awkward.
It’s very hard for me to say this but I have to be honest.
I hear it rocks live- but well I’m just not feeling this version at all.
It saddens me.
