Wu Tang Clan ain’t nothing to fuck with.
Before i had ever heard any Wu Tang songs, I heard this story..

Some NYC writer wrote an article about Wu Tang, basically dissin them and saying they were not good for he hip/hop movement. I forget the specifics. However, Wu Tang did their reconnaissance on this writer, finding out his work hours and where he lived. Soon after article was published, they met him after work on his way to his car. Word on the street is they beat the bejesus out of him, making sure he firmly understood it was in his best interest to only write good things about Wu Tang. I’m pretty sure he got the message.
Ever since first hearing that story, I had a new found respect for the whole Clan. And after listening to what they had to offer musically, I was hooked, now a fan of their music as well as their thug mentality. Lucky for me, 1/3 of the original Wu Tang Clan, consisting of RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late ODB, will be at Camp Bisco this summer, in the form of Wu Massacre,( Meth, Ghostface, and Raekwon.)
I think its fair to put Method Man in discussion for best living rapper. Personally, for many many reason, I think HOVA takes the cake, but discussion is a healthy part of life. Method Man was the sole guest artists on The Notorious B.I.G.’s first album, dropping bombs on the track “The What.” Biggie IS the best rapper of all time, so for him to put, then little known, Method Man on his CD says a lot about him as an artist.
Seen Method Man before, with Mary J. and with Redman, great performance every time. But this will be his show, and I’m excited to see what hes gonna give us.
Not too worried about what what Meth and the rest of Wu Massacre will bring, since these were the guys that once told a young version of myself, that Cash Ruled Everything Around Him.
