I got this email from Helen from the wilds of vacationland:
“The bassist for madina lake was beaten unconscious while intervening in a domestic dispute to assist some woman- I can’t seem to pull up a full story. Mathew Leone- he recognizes Mary at shows- and she plays bass with the picks he gave her. One of the genuinely kindest musicians- scratch that- human beings, I have ever had the honor of meeting

Matthew’s brother was in a domestic dispute.
Anybody with a follow up please comment.
I have subsequently read this:
“The band’s fans found out that Matthew is in grave danger after he was able to save a woman from her husband who was hitting her a few days ago.
“The still unknown man, twice the size of Leone, was severely hitting his wife on a street near Matthew’s apartment.
“Without even thinking, the musician decided to put an end to the situation and confronted the attacker. His first attempt was successful and the man stopped, but after Leone was able to reach his phone and call the cops, the attacker went berserk and started hitting Madina Lake’s bassist, severely injuring him.”
