In anticipation of this years Camp Bisco Festival, this July 15-17 at the beautiful Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY, I have began,( and uncontrollably kept on) listening to LCD Soundsystem’s newest album release titled This Is Happening. As a self-proclaimed electro/dance/punk junkie, I couldn’t be more satisfied with what is infesting my eardrums. They have surely set in stone just what they contribute to the dance/punk music world since they started in the early 2000’s.
With such dance party popin’ tracks like “Dance Yrself Clean,” Drunk Girls” and “I Can Change”, I can only pray that there is more to come from LCD Soundsystem. Dance music lovers will be engaged by some of the newness they bring to this CD. Even the non-fans, can’t help it but to take that stick out that ass and move to this music.

This past weekend at nationally known Bonnaroo festival, LCD Soundsystem utterly annihilated their set. For the true festi-heads, not the group that only went to see “C.E.O of hip/hop” Jay-Z, (whom even as a fan I feel doesn’t really belong in that environment,) got to experience a very unique audio orgasm. And like that feeling, most in attendance, never wanted it to end.
Since then, I have been continuously streaming that same LIVE Bonnaroo set on-line, eyes closed, counting the days until I can witness these guys first hand. Something you really need to FEEL to grasp their musical genius.
So, be there or you sure are square. Camp Bisco 2010! You will be involved with the epicness going down that weekend, all with LCD Soundsystem around the eye of the storm.
