Another Post On Fame

Between drugs, violence, and an attempt to remain at the top while you are falling apart, DMX seems to spend his entire life in and out.
But what can you expect from a the child hood the guy suffered through. This is what he told VH-1’s Behind The Music: “Hard was not being able to eat until your mother woke up because she had to food in her closet.. She had a tray of perfume and I drunk some because it smelled good, but it was disgusting… I was that hungry.”
I don’t know what sort of a child you can expect to arise from the ashes of that childhood but for sure, add instant success into the mix and you have the recipe for a complete disaster.
His mother also beat him and which he completes with “I’m not dead”.
Imagine for a moment you are DMX are imagine your brain being pulled violently in two directions. Drugs might level it off. Certainly, something is needed.
There is no excuse to this schitzophrenia through violence… through drugs? I am less certain.
What he really needs is help.
Bow wow wow, eh?
