The New Brandon Flowers Streamed by Iman Lababedi and Helen Bach

Iman Says:
“Crossfire” -“lay your body down, tell the devil to come back where he came…”
Ah, yes, orgasm as religious ritual!!!
Do I sound sarcastic? I don’t feel it, it is actually pretty excellent with a soaring, quasi-hymn like chorus and a soaring melodramtic emotionalism and yet it is simply arranged.
Best I’ve heard from Flowers in, well, in years by now!!!

Helen says:
Yeah, so Iman thinks I’m gonna new the love Brandon Flowers solo leak (freakin hilarious phrase right there)

“Crossfire” has received alot of buzz, but now through the interweb we can hear it before were supposed to. Sorry.

Brandon Flowers has a unique and vulnerable voice. a reverb action that at times can lilt to a near yodel. I really don’t know why his falsetto coupled with a really prevalent bass repetitions grabs hold of me so tightly but it does.

I made a vow to hate this song and I cant. Is it earth shattering? Nah. Its good though, a bit marching pony at times and a bit warbley but If you’re a Killers fan your a Flowers fan and you’ll buy this.

Im looking forward to the ‘solo’ thing but here lies the issue. When a lead singer goes solo… who notices?

I mean I have mentioned this before but it always seems a bit of much adu about nothing. No one is missing Bob on guitar or whomever, cuz like it or not rockers, the lead singer IS the band.

So yeah, I dig it. Iman’s right, he knows me very very well.. but I swear one day he’s gonna be wrong, just not this time
