Comment: One of DTL’s great moments of 2010 (only his remix of Holy Ghost!! Is better), great country song and the gifted Ms. Shaprov. Three awesome songs. I spoke briefly with Courtney Kaiser and raised the question of just how busy some of the songs were. She mentioned how having two guys producing, they couldn’t stop adding sounds to the songs. It is still a great album but it is better live and especially the song before the encore: “The Wait”. I had problems with the recorded version. It felt, and sure the title kinda gives it away, too portentious. But live it really is a wait (they go off stage and return in the middle) and the objective of a song working against the subjective of a performance really works well. I get it now and I love it.
