1. Love Is Law – Earth, Wind & Fire – This is the EW&F of your dreams, they’ve stripped it down and made it real  and this is just a completely beautiful soul song – A

2. Haul Away – Mark Knopfler – Lovely and slow and sleepy – B-

3. Changing Of The Guard – Holy Ghost! – One of the better songs on an album that is nothing but better songs; a terrific beat sample and stirring synth lines– A

4. Somewhere In My car – Keith Urban – Country ballad of enormous  irrelevance – C-

5. Dance A Little Closer – Holy Ghost! – This is an incredible song from the most consistent album imaginable; a sexy admonishment to want love – A-

6. You Think I Ain’t Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Million Bucks – Queens Of The Stoneage – Here is where they earn their keep,  a hard riffing head banger – B+

7. Comrade – Volcano Choir – Kinda loud this time round; Justin’s best vocal on the album – B+

8. You Know – Laura Marling – You don’t know that I know that I know that this is genius – A+

9. Came back Hunted – Nine Inch Nails – Perfect 9” nail rocker from Trent; it sounds out there but not so far out there you can’t climb in – A

10. Jesus De Milo – Jahn Xavier And The Bowerytones – This sounds like new wave it is so poppy – A
