I love dance to distraction but only the most utilatarian type of dance: I can take DJ Shadow or Flying Lotus but I love the more bass ethos, especially folks like Boyz Noize and Drop The Line on the one hand, Mark Ronson, David Guetta on the other.
So what you might call art-dance leaves me a little cooler.
Having said that, Toronto’s Deadmau5 is pretty fucking awesome.
On the extended looped drums and guitar of “Faxing berlin” and the two year old highly ambitious prog-dance extravanganza “Ghost N Stuff’, you gotta wonder who the hell this guy is.
