The cheap bastards at Itunes must have refused to pay overtime because like every day after a national day off, the new itune releases weren’t up by the time I left , so I put together my June playlist and here I’m gonna review em!!
1. Kitty – The Connie Dungs – 90s punk, 90s punk, suddenly everybody is talkin ’bout 90s punk.
2. Haters – Various Productions – People hatin’ on MIA for stealing this but idda missed this awesome dark dance dub without her.
3. Upon Viewing – Titus Andronicus – Live and early and it is a shock and a rush!
4. Brave Enough – Kaisel Cartel – Swoon rock
5. Content – No Paws (No Lions) – So what do you dream about at night… if I was a kid I’d want somebody to sing this to
6. Getting’ Over You (feat Fergie and LMFAO) – David Guetta and Chris Willis – LMFAO steal the sucker.
7. Commander (Extended dance Mix) – Kelly Rowlands – Now this is about as good as dance ever gets. I shuddering drum machine loops on and on and Kelly -who has, like that other Destined Child, a nondescript burrr of a voice perfect for dance. It gets In the way of NOTHING!!!
8. Youth – Beach Fossils – This is a Lo Fi perfection in a leagure with Pure At Heart… the entire album drifts in like dream..
9. Changer – Vehicle Blues – I was once taking the train from Penn to Orlando and we we got stuck in DC for hours and when we finally rumbled off I felt tired but weary -watching the scenery change and worried at every stop and this is what “Changer” sounds like.
10. I Can Change – LCD Soundsystem – I dunno if this is getting forgotten but it sure shouldn’t be.
11. Next Girl – The Black Keys – Fuck -$35 a tix at Summerstage on July 27th and it is sold out.
12. We Give Our Lives – Sabbath Assembly – This is really truly scary.
13. The Suburbs – Arcade Fire – Is it too early to say the new album sucks?
14. Cuffin (feat Gucci Mane) – Cam’ron – This is the state ofganagster and it aint well.
15. Fireworks (feat. Alicia Keys) – Drake – Let’s pray the kid doesn’t follow mommy Alicia into the family business.
16. Riot Rhythm – Sleigh Bells – didja read Flavorpill on em? You know what, I am officially sick of raving about this band.
17. I Will Come Back (Drop the Lime remix) – I am also pissed at Drop the Lime.
18. Coma Chameleon – Jamie Lidell – Not you daddy’s soul singer.
